Night Scene, New York by Jem Cohen features hypnotizing visuals of Chinatown at night. Five Lessons and Nine Questions About Chinatown by Shelly Silver explores the attempt to fix an identity on a neighborhood constantly in flux.

Join celebrated New York filmmaking partners So Yong Kim and Bradley Rust Gray for a discussion of their film, I Can’t Wait, in the Chinatown Film Project. I Can’t Wait marks a rare collaboration between Kim and Gray, and features their signature themes of adolesence and unrequited love, as seen in Kim’s In Between Days and Gray’s The Exploding Girl.

Join curator/producer Karin Chien, and award-winning filmmaker Richard Wong for a screening and behind-the-scenes look at the Chinatown Film Project. Ten acclaimed New York filmmakers were given the same budget and access to construct new visions of Chinatown. Rich Wong will discuss his musical Lonely Alone and his collaboration with Wayne Wang on Tuesday.
