SMAC is a WebTV channel focusing on contemporary art, culture and ideas through short form videos, articles and photofeeds.
The site includes coverage of major art events, interviews with art world figures and general themes surrounding art such as how art is created: how art is taught; what the relationship between art and the environment is; how and where art affects social and political changes; and what makes the art market go around.
Each theme is explored through a SMAC Series of 4 to 6 videos that includes interviews with leading thinkers, and a profile of an artist.
SMAC is a sister publication of ScribeMedia.org and is an acronym for ScribeMedia Arts and Culture.
Both are created and produced by ScribeLabs, a digital media strategy collective.
